Configure Email Client

To Set Up Email Client for your @pt.lu Email Account

In the client for which you want to configure IMAP, locate the IMAP settings and enter the following:

  • Username: Your @pt.lu email address
  • Your full email address
  • Your email account password
  • Incoming Mail Server (imap): imap.pt.lu
  • Outgoing Mail Server (smtp): smtp.pt.lu
  • Incoming Port ( imap (s) ): With TLS – 993
  • Outgoing Port ( smtp (s) ): With TLS – 587

Setup Guides for the specific clients:

Outlook 2010

Click on File ➔ Add Account

Enter the following information:

Name:

Email Address:

Password:

Click on Next

Outlook will automatically find the settings. Click on Finish to complete.

Outlook 2016

Click on File ➔ Click on Add Account

Enter the following information:

Name:

Email Address:

Password:

Click on Next

 Click on Finish

Windows 10 Mail

Click on Settings ➔ Add account

Select Other account

Enter Email Address and Password

Click Try again It will fail to find info for that account.

Click on Advanced

Enter the following details:

Success:

Apple Mail

Open Apple Mail and click on Add Account

Select “Other Mail Account…”

Hit Continue

Enter the following information:

Name:

Email Address:

Password:

Click on Sign In

Set the following:

Account Type: IMAP

Incoming Mail Server: imap.pt.lu

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.pt.lu

Click on Sign In

Click on Done

Outlook 2016 Mac Version

Click on Tools ➔ Accounts

Click on the Plus symbol click on Other Email… to add account.

Fill in the following information:

  • Email address
  • Password
  • Username
  • Type: IMAP
  • incoming Server: imap.pt.lu
    • Click on Use SSL to connect
  • Outgoing Server: smtp.pt.lu
    • Click on Use SSL to connect
  • Click on Add Account

Android

Please note:

Due to the differences in Android releases and skins this may not work for your phone. If this doesn’t work or apply to your phone, please refer to your phone manufacturer for support

Click on your email application:

If you have no email account configured you will be asked to setup an email account.

Enter your email address and password ➔ Click on Manual Setup

Select IMAP Account

For Incoming settings set the following:

Security type: TLS

Port:993

Username: Your email address

Password:

Click on Next

For outgoing set Security type to TLS

Click on Done

 Set Sync schedule and click on next to sync your email account

Apple IOS Mail

Click on settings

Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Click on Add Account

Click on Add Mail Account

Enter the following details:

  • Name:
  • Email:
  • Password:
  • Description:

Enter the following details:

  • Incoming Mail Server Host Name: imap.pt.lu
  • Incoming Mail Server Username: webmail.user@pt.lu
  • Incoming Mail ServerPassword: Your normal email password
  • Outgoing Mail Server Host Name: smtp.pt.lu
  • Outgoing Mail Server Username: webmail.user@pt.lu
  • Outgoing Mail ServerPassword: Your normal email password

Click on Save

You can now access your email in Apple Mail
